ABOUT STEPHANIE DORSEY:

Stephanie Dorsey is Co-founder and CEO of Margins Capital, an alternative investment firm that is leveling the investment playing field for women and BIPOC investors. Stephanie started her career as a medical malpractice defense attorney. Disenchanted, she left the law and joined the Peace Corps to work in micro-finance with Afro Latinx communities.  Stephanie pursued her MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and later found a passion for technology and product management. She spent 10 years building consumer banking products at Capital One before becoming the Chief Product Officer at Metric Collective. She founded Margins in 2022. When deciding what to do next, Stephanie focused on solving a problem that hit close to home. She founded Margins Capital so that people like her, who have historically been excluded from the alternative investment ecosystem, could have approachable access to private markets.
