June is dedicated to Black men who are leading!
Since 2017 we’ve focused on highlighting Black men in business 

who are continuing to push our communities forward. This year, 

we’ve partnered with thecreativebrutha again to curate our 

2022 list of Black men inspiring in the business world and in 

their communities.

Founders of Chatdesk

Andrew and Aneto are the founders of Chatdesk which assists small and large companies with their customer support through innovative technology and brand enthusiasts. Responding to ample customer questions and concerns can be time consuming and overwhelming for business owners, but Chatdesk uses their experts to personalize the customer support experience.

Founder of Raheem

Brandon is the founder of Raheem — a platform for the future of community crisis response. It aims to enable safe spaces for Black people everywhere through the use of technology. When 911 isn’t enough, Raheem plans to take action with care.

Founder of PopViewers

Chris is the founder of PopViewers — a technology startup focused on amplifying diverse voices. PopViewers is creating a community through those voices to empower change in marketing efforts from media outlet and really provide influence and interaction in the content we watch.

Co-Founder of BoxedUp

Donald is the co-founder and CEO of BoxedUp. BoxedUp allows content creators to rent equipment on-demand from individual owners, local rental shops, and manufacturers. For many professional content creators, buying professional equipment for projects isn’t always the best solution. Of course certain equipment is necessary to succeed, but not a viable option to purchase. Thanks to BoxedUp nothing has to be compromised to create quality.

Founders of Kiddie Kredit

Evan is the founder of Kiddie Credit — a mobile app designed to educate children on the credit system by completing chores. Once the children can identify the importance of credit, they’ll eventually be able to navigate their finances with more awareness.

Founders of Gentem

Dr. Fisayo and Emmanuel are the founders of Gentem – an integrated platform aimed to grow revenue and modernize the medical billing experience. They are on a mission to improve the broken reimbursement system and lack of administrative assistance that affects practices every year.

Founder of Bandwagon

Harold is the founder of Bandwagon — a technology company that delivers solutions to elevate the experience of fans and event attendees. Bandwagon is building an ecosystem that embraces and organizes the ever-evolving event industry.

Founders of WaySlay

Mike and Ian are the founders of WaySlay — an on-demand delivery app for beauty supplies. They are filling a void that still faces the mom and pop beauty supplies stores nationwide. You can get your products delivered in as little as 20 minutes. The app is available in Miami, Pittsburgh, and Washington, DC.

Founders of Therify

Warren and James are the founders of Therify which provides personalized mental health resources to help improve employee well-being and belonging. It can be difficult to find support that understands you, Therify helps narrow down options so that you can feel heard and the work to maintain a healthy mental lifestyle can begin.

Founder of A Kids Company About

Jelani is the founder of A Kids Company About — an empowering collection of kids books, podcasts, and apps for kids of all ages. Kids are absorbing so much these days, A Kids Company About is creating a space for kids and adults to start digestible conversation to promote understanding and awareness.

Founders of Brough Brothers Distillery

Chris, Bryson, and Victor of the founders of Brough Brothers Distillery. The distillery is the first Black-owned distillery in Kentucky and can be found nationwide.

Founder of Zeal Capital Partners

Nasir is the founding partner at Zeal Capital Partners and in 2021 Zeal received a $62.1M Inaugural fund to invest in diverse management teams that are making an impact in economic mobility. 2% of the decision making at VCs as it relates to investments are from black people. Having more black leaders in the room where the big decisions are made will provide that much more opportunity for black businesses in the future.

Founder of Black Titan Investment Corporation

Nicholas is the founder of Black Titan Investment Corporation and over the past year acquired Fuddruckers for $18M. This made him the first African American to own an American burger company.

Founders of theCut

Obi and Kush are the founders of theCut — a technology software company dedicated to the advancement of barbershops. Creating a seamless process between barber and client nationwide is extremely beneficial. Everyone wins when the operations are simplified and easy for all parties to use.

Founder of Fleeting

Pierre is the founder of Fleeting, a modern technology platform transforming the trucking industry. As a former trucking operator, he understands the challenges of the industry and is using Fleeting to educate talent and provide opportunity for incarcerated men and women upon their release.

Founder of NIMBUS

Stacey is the founder of NIMBUS — an award winning multicultural agency using cultural relevance to create brand resonance. Some of NIMBUS clientele includes KFC, Nautica, and Jack Daniels. Diverse advertising and content can only be impactful when there is a team that truly understands and has a seat at the table to make those important decisions.

Founders of Michael Lavelle

Founders, Terrance and Aaron along with partners, Devin and Brandon have created Michael Lavelle Wines — a luxury private wine label. Each of them brings a unique expertise to the business making this brand a much more desired brand day by day. Currently, they are the youngest Black-owned wine company.

Founder of Prado

Jon is the founder of Prado, a POS platform enabling DTC food and beverage brands to operate efficiently. With so many businesses starting and navigating in online spaces, having a solid company that handles the logistics of ordering takes a lot of pressure off of business owners.

Founders of Saltbox

Tyler and Maxwell are the founders of Saltbox — a company designed to help e-commerce businesses store goods, fulfill orders, and assist with logistics. Saltbox offers a community in addition to the more space that can’t be found in your basement or garage or on your countertop.
